We won't build a home for you, we will build a home with you.

Formed in 2014, Simple Homes Fuller Center is a collaboration between The Simple Way's decades of community work and the time-tested model of The Fuller Center for Housing.

We believe homeownership is about more than receiving the keys to a house.

It's about building the skills, relationships, and investment that create long-term stability.

How we do it:

Along the way, they receive financial coaching, first-time homebuyer education, and ongoing support that prepares them for successful homeownership.

When work is complete, we sell the rehabilitated home to them for $55,000 at 0% interest. We hold the mortgage to assure that credit is not an issue. Homeowners pay based on their income.

Families earning 25–50% of Area Median Income ($12,000 - $30,000 per year) partner with us to renovate abandoned homes through at least 350 hours of sweat equity.

We purchase abandoned single family homes in Kensington, a resilient but under-resourced community that has been hit hard by the opioid epidemic and lack of affordable housing.

Unlike many affordable housing programs, our relationship doesn't end at closing. We continue walking alongside homeowners as neighbors and partners, helping ensure they have the resources they need to thrive for years to come.
